Rats are extremely difficult to make'em look good and aesthetically pleasing, especially since rats, in their nature, do not pair well with food (the rat logo was to be printed on the booklet cover, on top of tables where dishes were to be served). I utilized the actual New Years numbers "2, 0, 2, 0," to make up the entire profile of the rat, where the first "2" is the head, the first "0" is the ear, the second "2" makes up the tiny hand and long tail, and the second "0" anchors the body. Our cute friend would then be printed on totes and given out to people who donated to OCA-Greater Seattle! A hot commodity, and a means of holding the incoming fortune of the New Year!!
