"Camp Bruce Lee changes lives – providing participants with confidence, physical and mental stimulation and exercise, self-awareness, fun, and lifelong friendships! Our vision is to provide a program where kids discover Bruce Lee and practice his messages on confidence and unlimited potential."

July 2024, Head Instructor, MJ Cabigting Steele, and Assistant Instructors, Han Eckelberg and Pamela Lee Edwards, lead the Camp Bruce Lee (CBL) programing at the Wing Luke Museum. Along with teaching Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do forms, and CBL philosophies to the campers, each instructor brought additional depth of martial arts to the CBL Curriculum with their own personal practices such as Hung Gar, Choy Lay Fut, and Tai Chi. To recognize Bruce Lee's connection to Seattle, and to honor the unique collaboration of the instructors to their respective schools, craft, and personal connection the Wing Luke Museum, both Steele and Eckelberg created a "2024 Camp Bruce Lee Uniform."
Steele designed the "Liquid Resonance" background pattern. The abstract pink, blue, gold ripples draws inspiration from the active state of water; reverberations of action. This essence of movement is a direct callback to Lee's philosophy, as well the Daoist practice of change; action in no action. Eckelberg designed the "CBL Seal" and the "2024 LEGACY Dragon." The CBL Seal incorporates an 18th century dragon ink-cake, named as "Longde," exhibited at the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The artifact demonstrates the "virtuous power of dragons," which Eckelberg thought accurately describes the participating campers who aim to become a dragon in their own respective life journeys. The 2024 LEGACY Dragon carries the consistent textures from the ink-cake, while encircling the entire design with a midnight black and golden scale dragon.
"The camp will explore his messages on gaining confidence and tapping into the unlimited potential found within all of us. At the end of the week, family and friends are invited to join us in a presentation where we’ll share all that we learned throughout the week and will culminate in an exciting board-breaking ceremony. Camp Bruce Lee changes lives – providing participants with a renewed sense of confidence, physical and mental stimulation and exercise, self-awareness, fun, and lifelong friendships! No previous martial arts experience is necessary—only the willingness and openness to learn!"
